Ekorian’s Mugie Camp is a private eco camp, exclusively located in Mugie Wildlife Conservancy in Northern Laikipia, offering abundant game and bird viewing. Mugie game drives are remarkable for their intimacy with the wildlife as there are rarely more than two vehicles out on the conservancy.
Experiences that span beyond just a safari …
Experiences here span beyond just a safari - The Ekorian team will greet you with a warm, genuine welcome to this exquisite slice of the natural world. The property offers a retreat from the fast-paced hustle and bustle of the 'real world,' and a re-connection with nature.
In order to bring you an organic, authentic safari, Ekorian fuses luxury with sustainability, and comfort with responsibility. The camp’s innovative design is eco-friendly and blends into its environment, enabling you to feel immersed in the vivid details that surround you - the sights, the sounds, the smells of true nature.
Facilities
A home away from home; set in the exclusive Mugie Conservancy, the camp is nestled within a walled garden.
Camp is made up of six tents, two of which are ‘family’ tents with adjoining annex rooms. All of the tents are on raised wooden decks – the perfect combination of comfort and style to match the natural surroundings. Built with an eco-friendly ethos, using sustainably sourced local materials, the camp naturally blends into the stunning environment.
The heart of the camp is the mess tent, which has a newly renovated indoor dining and seating area with a cosy fireplace.
Experience & Activities
Early morning and evening game drives, sundowners, bush meals, and lovely guided game walks are just a few of the activities on offer at Ekorian. Ekorian’s ‘Magical Kenya signature experience’ - kayaking with elephants on the Mugie Dam, is certainly not to be missed!
There is an interactive and engaging kids club for all little “Ekorian Explorers”, giving them the chance to learn more about the plants, animals and cultures that make Mugie special.
Other activities include volleyball, bird watching, traditional archery, spear throwing, lawn games, as well as trampoline and a freshwater swimming pool - there is plenty to keep you entertained!
